I just sent off for a Harris R-2368 receiver.(mil-spec. version of the RF-590A) Here is the best pic. Good show! I'd take that over the collins R-390.I am now green with envy.Notice the spec that says rx protected to 100 watts RF input.Helps out when something goes wrong when rewiring up the shack cables and you go ooops.(Been there,done that,wasn't so lucky.Receivers do not make good dummy loads).

    Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned
