Hello Everyone

I will come clean and say I know very little about CB equipment, I just enjoy fixing stuff as a hobby and I’m not a radio Tech. I’m having trouble setting the RF gain trimmer on a cobra 19gtl. I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong or if the radio has a fault or if this is just how they operate.

The instructions say to inject 700uv and trim for a 2 volt audio output. I cannot achieve 2 volts with such a high input level. I have tested the components around the gain control circuit in the 2nd if and it appears to be working but doesn’t match the alignment information.

Any advice on this welcome. More detail here on what I did etc thanks. Skip the video to 9 minutes in
Regards Chris
