thats pretty cool . if it didnt need to be portable and for home brewing in the back yard you could mount two pressure treated 6x6's in the ground a half inch to a inch wider than the ladder . get a nice long fat nut and bolt from lowes or home depot to go through the 6x6's and a hole for the ladder rung for a nice pivot point . it would be easy to make a stop and locking point for the bottom of the ladder .

Yeah. I priced them too. But for a field day light weight compromise tower the 16' extension ladder at The Home Depot for $59.97 is a good choice. Add a little mast to it and you can get a little higher. I'm looking at that.
