Wavelength help

biferi,
There's a method of making connections for a PL-259 (male part) or an SO-239 (female part) and coaxial cable. Connecting to either connector requires soldering for a really good connection, but there are 'crimp-on' PL-259 connectors, no 'crimp-on' SO-239 connectors that I'm aware of. Still need a special tool for that 'crimping', though.
Who says you are going about it the wrong way, and why?

Hey Doc, I'm beginning to think he took my advise above.

You know, I have to wonder if he has been cutting the braid lengthwise to separate it from the centre conductor and we all know what happens when you do that. :headbang:censored: Personally I learned NOT to do that the second time I did it. Yep, I'm a slow learner but then again being 14 at the time I thought I knew everything.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
