After a year wait, I received the Elecraft K4D and installed it in the shack. I have a lot of work to do to get everything configured, but I got the initial install done and made my first contact on 40 meters last night. Check it out:

The display looks good, but I'll bet the video doesn't do it justice. My guess is that display is spectacular in person.
It really is. I'm going to do some more video soon. It's even more stunning on an external LCD
My neighbor Mike-K4KJC has one with the New Legal Limit amplifier & he's very happy with the setup.I have never owned or operated anything they make because I'm very pleased with my ICOM Gear.

@ AWP:Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
