Using 2 different sizes of coax

ive heard people flipping out just at the thought of using two different coaxs together.

as long as the ohms match, what is the big deal ? ive never tried it, so i dont know.

Most people use a smaller coax cable for jumpers in the shack and then run a heavier cable for the long run to the antenna. No different than joining two pieces with a barrel connector.

Its fine but just remember that mini 8 after a 50 foot lenght has a pretty significant lineloss. I have ran 100 foot runs and it still got the job done but some people are critical about the lineloss.

Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare
    May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned
