Hello again to the forum and Happy New Year. I have designed a monster quad using EZNEC 4.0: 6ELEMENT ON 48FT BOOM F/B31.03 ,17.92DBI@60FT, VSWR1.02@ 50.30OHMS(27.025). My concern is with the front/side lobes although they are pointing forward, the gain is 17.46. Would this make a differance in the transmitting or recieving of the antenna?
Give some feedback on the antenna specs also, please? Oh its an optimize 6element quad.
9 feet spacings will give you the max gain . radiation pattern will change a lot, you will be able to talk more off the sides more and talk to multiple stations without moving the beam as much .stretch the boom out to 60 feet and have your reflector back more from your driven element.
17.92 dbi from a 6 ele quad thats alot of dbi, good luck man.
Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare |
May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC |
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
