I'm looking for a Uniden 980 or Galaxy 979. The 979 must b the newer model Lookn for one or the other must b nice not a golden screwdriver special.

I also have a galaxy dx949 with extra channels that I would trade plus add cash for the above radio

    Seems to be dead on the radio lately. I don't know if the conditions are horrible, or more likely my weak antennas. I may head up in the mountains on Wednesday and see if reception / transmission is improved.
