    If those amps can be used on FM and CW, they are probably Class C. Most of those good buddy amps are class C, which are worthless on SSB. Best tossed in the dumpster.

    I have a dx-949 that was made in may 2011 that does not drift at all. Maybe the newer models have had this issue resolved. Either that or I got lucky.
