This is helpful, thank you. Now i'm trying to research why would someone want to remove the limiter from my, or any radio. I'll most likely send the radio to a tech and have it put back in and correctly aligned.
I need to adjust the VR907 and VR910 on my Galaxy 95T. I have tried to delicately use a small philips and standard screwdriver, but no go! From the looks of it, I need a "D" shaped tool to turn these, almost like a D shaped socket. Any help would be appreciated.

Galaxy actually replied within 24 hours. The Galaxy tech did confirm, when the rx/tx switch is in the off position, it should lock on to the correct frequency for the particular channel you're currently on. So, good news, and easy adjustment.

I emailed Galaxy regarding this issue and apparently it's just a VR907 alignment, it should be a pretty basic fix.

The anl/nb is turned on. I have switched the radio to AM while on SSB and listening to the "sound", AND hearing someone speaking: When switching to AM the "sound" and the people speaking (receive?) go away and don't seem to be on AM.

Ok, newbie ssb question here.
Galaxy 95T, Wilson 1000 mag mount (no coiled coax) Antenna tuned to 11 meter. Mobile.
What is that whistling or whining sound when on ssb? It goes from a higher to lower pitch when using the clarifier, and it almost disrupts the rx, get's in the way of hearing...
