Hi all... Dan here in Myrtle Beach S.Carolina... I posted the inquiry about the old vintage antenna i aquired that was new in box. Had some great replies.... The other antennas the guy had that were still in box is a PDL2 beam... And a 3 element super scanner. Are any of these worth useing...

Everyone knows that a vertical yagi must be mounted on a non-conducting mast or end-mounted on a metal mast. Nevertheless, last night during an eme run just for fun I decided to try turning my 2M9SSB vertical, because I was vertical to the guy on the other end and I was not copying him...

I notice a lot of base stations on am are transmitting their signal and have a lot of bass in my receive. Is this just a matter of adding a eq to the mic.<More audio> Thanks for any info.

<More audio>Tested a very large amp on this. 50 foot section.Amp uses 3cx500 total of 4 tubes. Now there is 2.8 ohms resistance in the coax.From center conductor to center. Shield is Zero ohms from connector to connector. Should i trash it??? Or cut it in half?????Got a 50% shot at it that...

Just aquired a Amp Supply Co LK550 HF amplifier.Has 3 of the 500z.Gonna let it loaf at 1500 watts only. What i'm curious about is that my coax run is like 150 feet to the top of the beam.LMR 500?????This will be my longest coax run ever. Thanks for any help.<can not stand it>

mfj-259 I can get it to power on with two batteries. The red power light comes on and zeros show across the screen.That is all it will do any ideas???:)
