    Backwards Swing

I clicked on the link for cobra's site but when I looked up Manuals for the 29 LX, all I could fine was the schematic and the PCB layout. I couldn't find the service manual. At this point I would like to set the radio totally stock and see if it cures the problem.

    Backwards Swing

Ok everyone. I think I have narrowed it down to the adjustment slugs used to tune the radio in the tune up procedure. The adjustments are totally out of whack and I think it's causing to swing backwards. Does anyone know the factory settings for those adjustments?

    Backwards Swing

I have tried a 30 amp power supply but it still swings backwards. I do not think its a matter of a tune up as I have already tried the general tune up procedure.

    Need an Antenna

hello everyone i am going camping next weekend and want to take my handheld cb radio, but my problem is that i cant take a full size antenna with a big ground wire and hang it in a tree. ANTENNA THOUGHT

my walkie talkie has a BNC connector for the rubber duck antenna to connect. my thought was that the rubber duck does not have a ground plane so inside the walky it must have a built in tuner to compensate for the ground while the rubber duck is used. so after i thought about it i realized that...

    ANTENNA THOUGHT

well thankyou everyone for your input but the only reason that i didnt want to make a dipole was because of its length. all i really wanted was an antenna about half that size, thus i made one with no "ground" wire because the walkie talkie does not require one because it already has a built in...

    ANTENNA THOUGHT

well i thought about a dipole, but that requires a center feed and it also requires i ground plane making it twice as long as the no-ground bazooka antenna that i previously made
