I've been reading up on the extended double zepp antenna and have been wanting to try one out for the HF bands.
Has anybody had any luck with these?
They seem to have a advantage over the 1/2 wave dipole but mostly limited to one band.

Just a word of warning, In January I setup a new cell phone plan with CINGULAR WIRELESS I've had so many bad experiences with these idiots it is unreal, as most people that know me can say that I am a very fair and laid back person and it does take quite a bit to tick me off, Cingular Wireless...
Has anyone tried a Hamstick dipole. I saw the mounts being sold on Ebay and was wondering about this.
How well do they work compared to a full 1/2 wave dipole.?
To save some space I was thinking about setting one up for 80 meters.

I've been looking for a source for aluminum tubing, the 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" seem to be tough to find.! Any Ideas.

My 3900HG currently covers 25 something to 28.3 Can the band spread be modified to cover more of the 10 meter and less of the lower stuff. Maybe just jump up 1 band to cover to 28.8 . I've heard about crystal changes or can this be done with a jumper.? I'd rather cover 26.965 (ch 1) to the 10...
What kind of antenna would work on a Aluminum Jon Boat.?
No Amp Just stock 25 watt SSB CB. Would a Firestik work or is a ground an issue.?
