1x4 base amp

want to buy i skywalker 1x4 base amp. or any other 1x4 base amp. im looking for something. i need opinions

since your base has ssb id advise a class ab amp . last i looked skywalker did class c amps . maybe theyve changed though ? since that 2547 only does 12 or 13 watts swinging/modulating have you considered a (gulp!) texas star 667 ? dont expect more than 500 clean watts out of it .

The reason I want a base amp is so I don't need to be farting around with power supply.

go with the x force if you have neighburs close by forget it it 2 much hassle with bleed over in less you got a 2 pill or somthing in those line and run low power

-who still carries the klv1000p???haven't located anybody in the US who actually HAS them in stock anymore.

bigred, $900 & 800 watts isn't a bad deal for the al811h. and you have a better chance of avoiding rfi issues then if you were using that skywalker rfi-box.....oh yeah, back to my 1st question, booty, or anybody, are the klv1000p amps available ANYWHERE in the US? my local crappy sounding, fatboy 'C' powered, galaxy 88 SSB operator wants to trade up to a superstar 158 & klv1000p, but i can't find the 1000p for him anywhere, and i do HATE his current state of SSB audio.....

i cant find any klv base amps new for sale in the USA now . copper use to carry them and it seems like ive seen them in a few other sites . now i cant find them at all .
750 for 600 watts from the ameritron al-811 isnt a bit cheaper and no one will know the fifference between 600 watts vs. 800 watts . the 811H is a better watt per dollar buy though . they both use the same 811a tubes (3x vs. 4x) and their only $25 each . about the cost of a "pill" .

darn it !!!! was reading the pdf i linked to on the 811 and it requires a 75 watt typical / 100 watt max drive input level . if hes running that Galaxy DX 2547 hell need a kicker to drive it with......... mo' money , mo' money , mo' money !! . sorry if i got your hopes up .
