I replaced the PL259 that connects to the antenna and that did it. Problem Solved!

No. Have it secured to mast. And both the connector and coax are less than a year old. Not sure why the connector failed.Is any part of the coax moving in the wind? Copper can work-harden and become brittle.

Sure could be. Or something similar. It is a crimp type connector. I’ve never had a problem with one till now. Strange that it worked great for a year though.could be 1 fine piece of ground wire in pl259 that somehow touched center wire. i know sounds impossible but seen more than 1 that has done that in time
