Nte153 = 2sa1012 upgrade @ q37.......nte2382=irf520 @q47/49.....nte37=2sb847 upgrade @q54/55... the reason I am asking is because these are easily available to me ....next town over

I wouldn't get them. I have a Galaxy Saturn that had the NTE 37/153 pair in them for Q54 and Q55, and the power output was low. Was getting barely 23W on SSB and my forward swing on AM was subpar. I replaced them with the 2SB827/2SA1012 and got a nice power bump. 36W on SSB and real nice forward drive on AM now. I haven't tried the NTE 2382 though, so I couldn't tell you about that one.

I believe the Galaxy 919 runs 2SB827 or 2SB754 for Q54 and a 2SA473 or 2SA1869 for Q55. If it has the 2SB827, I'd leave it in there. If it has the 2SB754, upgrade it to a 2SB827, or 2SB817. For Q55, upgrade that one to a 2SA1012, and upgrade Q37 also to a 2SA1012. Hope this helps!

~Cheers~

Nte

I bought some NTE transistors before I sent my radio to get aligned. I was told that NTE stuff is inferior and that quality transistors would be installed. do however have a EKL 2SB817 I never used. My 959 has 2SB827 instead of 2SB754
