Try for meteorite in missouri,my state
Maybe we can send signal via meteorite
Maybe we can send signal via meteorite
our local skywarn haad an hour long discussion about both in septemberhttps://www.electronics-notes.com/a...st-communications/propagation-frequencies.php
"In common with other types of radio signal propagation, meteor scatter is frequency-dependent."... For the commercial systems that use the underdense trails, the maximum frequency is somewhat lower, and the communications are often limited to a maximum frequency of about 50 MHz. Typically most operation takes place between about 40 and 50 MHz, although operation on lower frequencies would be possible. Below 30 MHz interference levels rise as a result of the increased number of signals resulting from ionospheric propagation."
Not likely at 27 MHz but have to be there if / when it happens.
6 meters (50-54 Mhz) and 2 meters (143-148 Mhz) operators can experience the scatter effect most mornings in and around Sunrise with distances ranging from several hundred miles to as high as 1000 miles on 6 meters.
However, you have got to be there to work it. Good antennas with Horizontal polarity and quick transmissions are almost a must.
All the Best
Gary
PS: Aurora scatter and Meteor Scatter are two totally different propagation effects by the way.
