Best Book and Dx Club

I have 2 questions. 1. Which is the better book to buy????

World Radio TV Handbook or Passport to World Band Radio???? I want one that will list addresses for shortwave stations and AM radio stations.

2. Can I join the DX Club if I only listen and not transmit????

I only listen to Shortwave,AM stations and Amatuers.
