Can I make the squelch knob control RF gain

I would greatly appreciate some guidance on making an RF Gain circuit for my back up radio, a Realistic TRC-440. I can email schematic, but would have to scan the document. Thanks!

Looks like the 505 in other countries are marketed with RF gain circuits in them

No L205 on the Teddy but extra coils and things on the right side where on the 505 they are empty bays

It's obvious to me that the Teddy has a different version of the 505 board. Although the Teddy doesn't have an RF gain,it has power and modulation adjustment points on it whereas the 505 can only benefit by adjusting L205 and spreading L203 and using a good power mic
