although its a little late um... any thoughts on a cobra cam 89 i've heard its a decent base rig .. um... little late being i picked one up on the bay for 58.50 incl the 20 for shipping not a bad total i don't guess ... input would be appreciated thanks

Got one myself. Good radio, still stock and unmolested and gets good reports.

Well I have two of the cam 89s also have a 89gtl which is just the fourty channel cam 89. I get nothing but good reports from my 89gtl the other two I'm taking to radios with small problems and making one good radio
