Received a new one from Walcott today.
Underwhelmed with the build quality - think felt cheap. Not the D104's I remember of old.
They even have you plugging the battery right into the circuit board - seems like a bad design for the sake of saving a 10 cent connector.
To boot, the thing came with a bad cord. Now I have to send it back. Hope Walcott CB makes good on it.
For the times it was working when I held the cord just so, audio was definately better - so I'd like to get another power mic.
Anyone else make power mics out there of better quality?
Seems like the piece of the radio you hold in your hand should have some heft and well built feel to it. The stock Galaxy mic feels better. Better switch too . . . .
