About 9:40 a.m. WCT I was able to work Ireland from a big truck from the downtown Los Angeles area. Thought that was pretty cool being on the West Coast and making that kind of contact traveling at freeway speed. I was in a 2014 Mack day cab. The set up in my tractor is a Galaxy 99v2 with a Wilson 500 mounted to the back of the cab. I was useing about 12 watts. Conditions, Conditions, Conditions ! ! ! 73'

Its nice to see someone reporting DX contacts like this without running amplifiers. Proves it can be done.

Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare
    May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned
