Flagpole antenna

Anything that's an electrical conductor can be used as an antenna. Some work better than others, just depends on how well it's a conductor. That sort of difference is usually very slight.

Top loaded Lightning rods for antennas?

Does that include TV'ish antennas but are a set of beams?

Who are you asking? Me?

No TV antennas except a satellite dish. Antennas are a pair of 13B2's for 2m SSB, an A147-11 for 2m FM, homebrew six element yagi for 6m, A3WS for 12/17m and an Explorer 14 for 10/15/20/40m. All aluminum.

Seems to be dead on the radio lately. I don't know if the conditions are horrible, or more likely my weak antennas. I may head up in the mountains on Wednesday and see if reception / transmission is improved.
