This is an oldie but goodie, sold under many goofy names

2 Pill Class C box all tuned up and ready to roll.

It's a low drive box perfect for a single final cobra or similar.

Bench Cobra 25Ltd Keying 1 watts, swinging 7 watts average or 28 PEP drives this amp to a 15 watt dead key and modulates, swings to 65 watts average and 180-200 watts PEP.

I smacked it around a bit with a hot to trot Galaxy DX-44 and it produced just about 250 PEP and didn't mind, but you want to keep the carrier input to 2 watts or less.

I completely retuned the input and output. Input match is nearly flat, less then a quarter watt of reflect. Output is flat into 50 ohms and the pass through is perfect.

RMS/PEP switch is just high and low.

The preamp works and is actually usable.

Power wire upgrade, 50 amp anderson connector and the amp also has new input and output SO-239s (Coax Jacks) on it on top of input/output tuning caps/resistors.

For anyone with limited power supply abilities at home, this could be run off a smaller 14 amp style Pyramid PSU if you don't drive the snot out of it. Needs about 10-11 amps 'average' current at 14Vdc.with a tuned up Cobra 25/29

I did add a 3 inch cooling fan with grill to the amp after I took the pics. It moves the right amount of air but is quiet.

I build tube guitar amps for a living and this is just one of 40-50 amps I have, that I've been using to teach myself how to build the perfect RF amps with by improving, repairing/rebuilding etc. For the last 2 years about. Time to start thinning the herd.

125 bucks shipped, paypal good/services.

Yeah I was really impressed with how it turned out. These are stud mount as well.

Worth 20 bucks unimproved any day too. Because stock they, work. But can definitely perform better. But look at the time and money in parts it takes,

This definitely isn't a for profit sale or learning venture I'm on that's for sure.

I wish there was more info on all the cross breading from Motorola, TRW and then the obscure numbers that both would mark their parts with.
