Galaxy 959

We were lucky no tornado's got our house in Mississippi last week....but I did have one casualty......my 959DX. I turned it on and the frequency counter slowly counted up to 29.330 Mhz and moves up and down at random +/- 10. Channel selector and clarifier have no affect on the frequency. Not sure what happened.....maybe lighting too close?

It receives and transmits fine.....just at whatever frequency the FC is showing on the radio ! ! !

Any pointers on where to start ?

Sounds like your VCO unlocked, might want to adjust L14 a touch to see if it comes in or not.

Thanks for the pointer..........this on top of a couple of 146GTL's I am frustrated with ! ! I really LIKE my 959 !!

When it rains it pours ! I guess this is pretty minor in comparison to what others are dealing with around here !
