Looks to me like there is a microprocessor of sorts in this radio and the channel knob just moves left and right to change channels!

very interesting photo.. Generally the european models come with AM/FM as a standard, but oddly no SSB.

those new design president jack's are the dogs bollo..s they are small compact very popular in ireland with truck drivers they are out selling over radio's im a fan of ranger radio's especially the rci 2950 dx' but would be very tempted indeed to purchase if they are anything like the older president jackson they will be a damm fine radio
