That's exactly the case, JJ.
In fact, I can hear some northern EU, nd into the South Pacific at times, but getting southeast is rare. And as you said, points in between on the mainland just aren't happening.
By the way, I've heard you recently, but I couldn't get to you through all the big stations you excited from their sandbagging when you keyed up.

I heard Jeff, 2CDX339 very clearly 5/9+ in the mobile yesterday and had a neighbor, 473 Earl, relay a hello for me. I tried to get to Jeff but my little mobile was no match for the big guns on the band.
Jeff, I couldn't get .415 in the mobile like you suggested. The grant is a 40 channel only, as you know. Your mobile was rocking it into NW Arkansas!
 
I did tell him thanks. I'll tell him again.
He operates a barefoot RCI2950 through an A99 with the Fire-Up top section replacement mounted 20' off the ground. It works very well for him.
