Several years ago I picked up a E.F. Johnson PTT microphone (no CB attached) that has a telephone keypad on it. It is part No. 250-0751-002 and Model No. 650. It is a semi-circular 5 pin connection. Anyone know which rig it goes too? Is it for a tone control radio. Thanks for any info.

in all seriousness its more than likely from a vhf radio. ef johnson stoped making cb's years ago but continued to make vhf business radio (even now they still make them). when searching it shows up as a dtmf microphone. looks like it was sold seperatly. commonly sold for use with the 6040, 6050, 6060 radios. the 6050 was vhf crystal controlled, 6060 was uhf. im sure you could wire it for a cb but it would be a ptt, direct entry wouldn't be possible without some serious tinkering. many of the johnson mobile cb's has a non removable microphone. most were soldered directly to the main board.

this is an old 6050
