My buddy, Roger Lucas, died recently. Damn Covid got its grip on him. He was elderly and had multiple health issues. He went well above trying to avoid it. He lived in the country and avoided visitors. He had provisions delivered, but it still got him.
It's been rough for me. I lost interest in radio. It just ain't the same. We talked frequently for hours in the evening. We started talking 15 years ago. He was a fellow vet and served in the Navy during Viet Nam. I enjoyed listening to his stories.
I started radio in early 70's and have had many radio friends pass, but his passing is the hardest.
It's a bummer. This is the second friend that I've lost to that wretched virus.
