Magnum S6

Found a magnum S6 for 150.00 and was thinking about grabbing it. Either as a backup or replacement for my Stryker 440HP. Anyone know anything about these radios?

I think that ANY of the Magnum radios are superb.
I use one on my base exclusively - Magnum OmegaForce S45.
I missed out on an S9 the other day.
Some say that are a bit noisy for a mobile application; can't say that as I have always run mine on a base.
If you don't have a base radio st up yet; this would make an excellent candidate.
But I prefer a AM/FM/SSB radio for my base and mobile...

It's got a 50+ watt output.
For that Texas Star amp, you might want an older Cobra 29LTD.
Should work great with that amp is you are interested in an AM only radio for trucking...

I have a Cobra 29 that's matched to the amp. I finally just unhooked the TS 350 and am looking for a bigger amp, thinking about hooking up the cobra and amp back in my bunk area and running the stryker by itself for the time being. I would like to get that S6 but will probably keep looking until I find the S9 cheap or something with sideband. Would like to eventually have a base station.
