Hello Everybody,

Happy New Year to you all.

How about this one? Anybody know how to adjust the meter on the Mirage 88? The prevoius owner (was quite a troublemaker and had the meter tightened to alert him when truckers were closing in tight on him) has this meter very tight. On dead key the radio's meter shows TX=2 (my dosy meter shows a 4 watt dead key) on modulation the radio's meter swings to Half-way into the red (my dosy meter shows 30 watts).

On the RX end of things, somebody has to be litterally under my antenna to get this meter up into the +30 db range.

I know that I can just tweak the pot inside of the radio and adjust the meter. What I am looking for is the correct calibration (adjustment) of the meter.

Anybody?

Thank you and have a great 2007

JJim
