My new old base unit....Got it today!

I picked up a base unit today. It is an old Cobra 2000gtl and came with some decent stuff. It came with the radio, Supposedly it all works and has been as he said "Tweeked and Peaked", if not I can get my $$ back no Problem. We will see! Here is the link to the pics in slide show form

I got it all for $150. It is a little rough and is kinda dirty inside. It has a knob on the front that I am told is for fine tuning the Upper and Lower bands. It doesnt have quite enough threads to go through the face plate so it wont tighten. I am sure I can find a longer shafted one and replace it. I have seen new face plate stickers so I might clean it up if it all works right. Not a bad deal...I hope!!

I like the Radio as well as the mike..
I never had a cobra 2000 but a friend of mine did and a fine radio..

is that a Turner Plus 2 power mike ( looks it ) i still have one
