Hey sorry to leave you hanging , my coaxial cable is RG8X , so I'm good there , but I'm having another problem , my RFgain knob will not lower my dead key to 2w , as I turn the knob it stays at 7.5 to 8 w , does this mean someone has tweaked the radio , or am I doing something wrong , it's an older model Galaxy dx99v , I was told these are really good radios

hey , i was turning fr gain knob and not rf power , got it as low as it would go about 2.25 w , thanks for your help

2.25 watt dead key input will be fine with that amp. I doubt your radio is doing 45 honest peak watts so again, your fine.

Glad you got it resolved. Was trying to erase the post as I saw the other messages. Good deal. That should be fine for that amp.
