I'd like to have a modern scanner, but I only listen to local school buses, township trustees, public transit, game warden, railroad and county engineer frequencies.
I get by with using old school programmable scanners.
Veddy, veddy, nice. I have 2 BCT15X's, mounted as mobiles. Once I acquired the second one, I broke down and splurged for the ARC XT Pro software to program them. Trunk tracker lets you get the encrypted frequencies.
Because my RC is my wheeler, I programmed ALL the frequencies of 6 surrounding counties where I'm likely to be wheeling, plus EVERY Allegheny Co./Pittsburgh frequency. 6,000+ frequencies, and I still have room for 3,000 more!
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
