I grew up across the street from train yards, and there were a ton of power lines out there in the fields. Of course, the neighborhood kids all had slingshots. We'd gather buckets full of iron ore pellets, sit on flat cars and shoot the insulators off the poles!! Now that I think back, an extremely stupid move!! But, we were young and stupid.
I think most of us did fun/dumb things as kids. Good thing there were no cameras back then!! Imagine all the noise from the broken insulators?? LOL I radio persons nightmare.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
