whats your thoughts on the magnum s9. i have the opportunity to get one pretty cheap. mainly do am but never know in the future what other channels i'll use.

That's a good talkin a.m. radio with more channels than you will ever use and ssb. If its cheap get it, you can't go wrong with cheap

The one I have had for years is an original version with the 1969 finals and it has been a good radio. I can't speak for the newer radios but I hope the quality hasn't slipped.

Never had one but they are loud on AM and good on SSB also. New the price was too much for me and I never see any used.

I have an S9/175. I absolutley love it. I also ahve a S6 /80. I think these radios are keepers. If you have been watching ebay a lot of other buyers think so as well as the prices have really rocked.
