I have this old tank of a base and just kneed to know what the vr# is to set the final and driver bias I blew the final and driver and transformer, along with some other stuff from a power surge, I have replaced just about everything so far and just want to make sure not to over drive the new parts.

Ok well I have it all together but still no tx, everything else is working as it should, Rx is good on am, and of course thier is no one around to check the rx on ssb, but any who, it has new finals and a new power supply and a rebuilt rectifier, does any one have any thoughts on what to check for next to get this unit back on the air? I have checked the mike on the pa setting and I have very stong audio from the pa, so that tells me its not the audio IC. Any help would be very nice.

The modle number is 934.38270700, I do have a Sams book comming for this rig, but if i can get it fixed before I get it I would be in heaven, and the cobra 148 is a great rig also but my roadtalker is the big base/moble unit and it has gotten many good reports from other CBers. It had very nice crisp and clear modulation and with any luck it will do it again. Once I get the Sams book I'm going to mod it out, anything I can do I will do it.

Ok well the sams book was some help but not as mush as I thought, but as of right now all the voltages seem to be good except right behind the front panel, the voltages are showing in the negative and its got me really baffled, and to top it off the audio IC burnt out in the process, is it posable that an audio IC will work on pa but not on am/ssb due due it being weak? Seems odd that it would just go out like that.
