Powers on, all lights, meter works, etc. It has no receive, but transmit keys up DK, about 10 watts. No audio out.
The 1000uf 25v capacitor next to the small audio transformer had blown. Blew all over the bottom cover. I replaced it and it still has the same problem. No receive, no audio.

What do the pros say?

Thanks,
Buddy S.

im no pro,
but im going to say replace the audio chip, and maybe the capacitors around it.

how old is this radio?

the audio chip is the one mounted to the wall near that cap that blew.

good luck,
LC

Before you pull out your old audio Ic plug a speaker or some headphones into the pa jack in the back of the radio, put it on the pa setting, and key up your mis and see if you have audio, If you do its not your audio Ic.
