Most Avanti/Antennas Specialists Verticals of the late 60's era were rated around 250 watts AM and around 350 PEP SSB...
Seen many go down(smoke) with guys trying to run big Phantoms or Varmint's thru them using AM.
The exceptions of the days were the original SIGMA 5/8ths...The Penetrators and the Mosley verticals.
The CLR II...Super Mag series...just would not hold up over time to that kind of smoke IMHO
