I saw a couple of these at the local swap meet today.

$10 bucks each. Worthwhile picking up? Any practical use for them IF they work?

800 Mhz? I'd say no, unless you have a specific use for that band. I don't think there is even an amateur allocation on 800Mhz.

Nope, no use for me lol, just saw them and thought I would find out a little more info on them to see if I could pick them up cheap and up sell a bit...

Or, if they did have a good use, pick em up anyways...

I've played with some I think GX4800's, the UHF version, damn near impossible to program at least for me

I have the software, patch cable, etc and never had any luck. Programmed just about every other radio out there but that one is a bitch.
