strain relief mic cord boot

Needing to re-wire some older hand microphones with new cords. Does anyone know a vendor for a strain relief boot to go at the mic to transition down to the smaller cords? I have the tubing sleeves to go at the plug end so the plug will clamp correctly. Thanks for any information.

what he said, i do it exactly the same way.

depending on the diameter of the mike cord you could also use a bit of sheath from 5 or 6mm coax too, or any other sheathing from multicore mains flex thats the right diameter.

Another option is a rubber grommet. When you tighten the case screws the grommet will apply pressure against the cord and hold it firmly in place.

This is what I do, but I put a ziptie around the mic cord inside the case to keep it from accidentally being pulled out thru the grommet.
