we had 50-90mph winds a week ago,
today we had 70-80mph with gusts reaching 114mph in some areas and 100+ peaks here causing extensive damage to buildings and property,50,000 in my area without electricity, evacuations,
schools and shops shut down through losing roofs, 9 people killed :(
i decided to go have a look at a few locals antennas see how they were doing,
it was impossible to time the shot to the best gusts with my old cam and me getting battered,

Hey Bob, looks like them guys had better start using some "guy lines".
The I10k made it thru in flying colors, it's really hard to beat that one.

Good Pic's

I'm glad you posted those pictures! Pictures speak louder than words! The I-10K is certainly an excellent antenna....and it has 19db of gain! 8)

Hey Bob ? what are the small looking antenna's around the chimminy ? Microwave ? Auh yes !! The Wind Crys Mary !! guy wires were mentioned but most looked like they were low enough to be up without ? the first one looked like they broke off ? I sure can remember the winds and how they would make me think of my trusty 5/8 GPs over the years , lost 3 of them in my time along with 50ft push ups to go with them. Was always shooting for the stars even though I didn't really have to , but how I would admire those antenna's as if they were giant TXing and RXing God's in the sky (-: Those were the days.
