It was Working GREAT!!!!!

I could not believe the quality of audio that you were sending my way Jerry!! And yes we need to get a round table QSO going sometime...Might be hard this weekend with the contest, but if we find the band is open sometime, we should post up something here on the forum and see if we can get a group together for sure.

Re: Those that have FM on their radios, We've gotta try this

There is a reapeater on 27.600 FM i think in the UK.

Set split mode to 02000

then go to 27.600 and hit split+ mode and you should be transmitting on 27.8050.

Audioshockwave, 339 and myself moved over on a frequency and just for kicks we thought we'd try FM. It was amazing the clarity of this mode. I'm in Indiana and Jeff's in Calif. With conditions the way they were it was amazing! I've done FM on a more local note, but not dx'ing. Then a gentleman in Prescott Ariz jumps in there and we qso'd for about 40 mins and it was truly phone quality.

Here's the deal that Jeff and I were thinking. Those that might want to try it, we should pick and time a frequency and try a round table in the FM mode. I think this would be fun for shure! If you would, maybe post here, or if you can think of good way to do this Jeff, let's see who would like to and could let's try to make this work.

Re: Those that have FM on their radios, We've gotta try this

I was thinking a weekend that we all could try this. My weekdays are bizzare. Freq: maybe 27.520 ? It's usually a pretty quiet spot.

Easterbunny, I see what you mean, it's neat. I can see this on the VHF/UHF, repeaters and such. I was just surprised how well it did on the HF areas in dx. The signals were strong as well as clear.

So lets pick a time and try this. Is the weekends alright for everyone else? If not I'll see what I can do for the weekdays.
