Tubes glowing red

Incorrect loading, lack of bias, internal tube short, wrong tubes installed.....

Is there a schematic online for this maul?

I agree with all of the above, just wanted to add perhaps AC on the plates as well.... rare but I've seen it happen due to failed voltage rectifier, or doltage doubler / bad filter capacitors.

I replaced the diodes and caps.
1 of the tubes flashed when I keyed up the other day and now the tube has grid leakage when it gets warm.

Would a bad tube make them get hot?

I think I got 2 of the finals with grid leakage now, 1 is real bad, one is in the ? zone.

I will replace the tubes and sell the amp.

I think I'm done with sweep tubes.

It's a SOS Scout 8 tube with 6jg6-6me6 tubes.

6ME6's aren't the right tubes for that amp. 6LQ6's minimum. Bet you wouldn't be having problems if you were running [NOS] 6KV6A's for drivers & 6MJ6's for finals......

Just my .02 after taxes.
