Is the Uniden 2830 the same as the President Lincoln?

What main chip uses the 2830?

Does anyone have more info on the 2830, i can't find much info on the internet.

Yes the 2830 is the same as a lincoln. Beyond that I can be of no help Sorry.

HR2830 = Lincoln

Hi,
Sorry been away from the message boards..
The Lincoln is the HR2830. (Almost nobody calls it that anymore)

Most of the mods for the 2510 will work on the Lincoln.
The Micro PCB is slightly different, but converts to the same program. See my site: http://Rogerbird.tripod.com

The early lincolns (2830's) had the same microprocessor, the later ones has a 2830 Micro but it has the same programming. Just labeled different.

The Lincoln (2830) will also take a Chipswitch. (the ultimate mod for the HR series radio)

I saw a 2830 on http://www.marktplaats.nl/ that wasn't modified (original 200 channels, 28-30 MHz), and send the guy a email about the price. But untill now I haven't got any answer, and the 2830 is removed from http://www.marktplaats.nl/
