I want to know where to put a swing kit in a uniden 510. We have to use these for work, and I want more power. Any advice would be appreciated.

That Rife link has nothing to do with transmitting on the air....don't do that mod..that's the w5jgv link. That is for a completely alternate use of RF that has nothing to do with talking to people ;-).

The 510 and 520 are best not cranked up for power, but modded for loud audio. I ran a 520 for years as an AM only radio mobile, driving an amp. With the audio tuned up and carrier at 2W, it was a screamer.

When the band was good years ago, I didn't even use the amp half the time for talking skip. It was loud enough I didn't need it. The amp was for local talk to get over all the propagation noise.

Thanks for all the replies.Just trying to get more audio, because there is like 30 radios up there with everbody trying to talk at once. Sorry for posting it in swapshop, new to this and didn't really now where to start. Thanks again!
