a lot of the Uniden "e" series radios also had a module for the meter/swr/channel read out ect. ect. when those suckers started breaking up (shorting or burning out) ,you needed a whole new one )-: nowadays very hard to get if you can even find one. The 710 / 640 / and a few others had them. They were good decent radios but boy were they ugly once those modules started breaking up and that seemed to be par for the course with those e series radios.......nothing worse for me then burnt out channel l.e.d. segments or meters that don't work , just gets on my nerves if you know what I mean. If you see these radios on Ebay , 9 times out of 10 ,they will state that segments are burnt out or they won't say anything at all . (always good to ask them a question about that before you decided to bid on those e series radios.)
