what is the value of a c2078 final or can it replace a 2166 for a driver?? Im guessing it not a driver but a final output tansistor with to high of output
The 2sc2078 is a final often used for final in a lot of standard CB`s especially those FM only. Its generally rated 4W at 12v but varies from 3.5-4.5 from brand to brand.
This is also a standard Final in many european CEPT PR 27 radios. 40Channels 4w FM And some AM/FM. Usually tuned 4w deadkey FM and peak 4w AM. I have managed to tune some of the radios 5.3w deadkey and swinging 7-8w still having fine undistorted audio. But this Radios come original without any kind of heatsinks and the finals tend to get slightly hot so i like to fit them with a small heatsink when i tune them.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
