Weak 142 GTL

Already posted in tech section but I thought I would try here also-142 with weak receive and transmit? I replaced IC5 but no improvement-could I have both blown front end transistor and blown final?Schematic shows 1306 driver and 1969 final but I have 2166 driver with 1969 final-could this be a problem?Coils are still sealed so radio has not been fooled with-it's an early Taiwan model and very clean with no obvious damage.Can someone give me some pointers? :roll:

A 142? Whats that? Some kind of beer? JK!!!!

If its both being affected, its probably something in a mixer or buffer circuit common to both TX and RX

Thanks for the reply-I will try to fix it myself because I could buy another radio for the money a tech would charge.This is what happens when you get a radio from Fleabay!
