Skip HAS been running well the last few days. Using my 949 with recent purchase of the ts350 made contacts in N. England,Montana,Cali, & a couple others. 345/doc in this 18 wheels of steel

On initial testing I put it with my galaxy dx 949. With my cheap meter in truck it showed on key up @ 80 watts,the swing in not sure of cause cheap meyer only goes up to 100watts in truck. Audio reports I got back was crisp clean audio.So that was a + to hear. Thanks again for all the help. I...

Also forgot.to add this one does not have the ssb switch on the front,but there is a dely switch on the rear. Would it still do ok on ssb?:tt1:

Just last night picked up a Texas star dx 350 hd from a driver getting out of trucking for $100. Seems to work well with no obvious dents,scratches etc. The inside looks practically new also,with no odor of any burnt components. He had it on & was using it while selling. Sounded good without it...

Ok thank you all again. I will look up the parts list for the 2517 or like board to compare. I was kinda thinking that the biasing wouldn't be set properly by that method, bit hey I'm a newbie/beginner/rookie to all this.

Yes ,I do have a heat sink for it, but was wondering more along the lines of where is the 2nd mosfet final getting its biasing from on the "cbtricks" site. Thank you again

yes I have my gate voltage set & 3.45+-. Just wondering if I set up the second irf520 in the second stage then wouldn't I need a companion part for that transistor( doesn't show one one on the CB tricks site. Ok I just bought this recently for $50. After opening it up & paying more attention to it, I found out its the HP model with dual finals. I have seen elsewhere tuning locations for the one with a single final. Can anyone shows or guide me in the correct direction as if the same tuning points are...

Yes works good. Hasn't even been tuned or modded. Practically looks brand new & bone stock. Even had it double checked at a shop.
